The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the magnitude of the acoustic shocks at shots from selected handguns of various caliber. In the theoretical part are described the basics of acoustics, the structure of the auditory system, the effects of shooting on the human auditory system and the definition of weapons and ammunition. In the practical part are described firearms and ammunition, which were used at experimental measurement of acoustic impacts, the description of experimental measurement with subsequent analysis and assessment of acoustic impacts. At the end of the practical part are mentioned options for prevention of hearing protection.
