Abstract

The topic of my thesis is to design and make a device used for patient breathing activity telemetry record in realtime and analysis of measured data. The whole thesis is divided into several parts. General principles of radiotherapy and measurement of patient breathing activity are described at first. Next part focuses on device development and testing. Measured data are analyzed and evaluated. The device, in cooperation with the Visual Coaching method, helps patients to manage their breathing activity in radiotherapy. The objective of this thesis is to demonstrate the simplification of this activity for the patients.
