Abstract
The presented thesis deals with the possibility of flocculation sulfate paste of lead-acid batteries in the separation of polypropylene by using flocculants series Sokoflok and Filtafloc. It evaluates and compares the effects of the individual flocculating agents on the speed of sedimentation sulfate paste to identify the most suitable flocculating agent for the technological process. The thesis is also focused on the issue of recycling lead-acid batteries in the Czech Republic. The only processing factory for recycling this kind of waste in our country is Kovohutě in Příbram. In this tesis is described in detail the technology of recycling polypropylene from lead-acid batteries, including all technological equipment forming lines of separation of polypropylene. There are also included theoretical knowledge describing the process of flocculation, selective flocculation and the theory of flocculation agents too.
