Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to introduce the activities of the Fire Department of the Czech Republic in order to eliminate hazardous substances leakage . This hazardous substances leakage into the environment occurs very often. In most cases the Fire Brigade arrives at the place of incident first and it must be ready to solve the situation .
In my thesis I drew on my experience that I have gained as a member of the Fire Department of the Czech Republic at my workplace at the operation centre of the Usti Region .
