Abstract

In this work, the reader learns about common and less-known methods of water treatment for drinking water and exposure to water treatment in the town of Krosno Odrzanskie, Poland, which is an exceptional source of groundwater. The first section describes the types of natural waters. Introduction to legislative requirements on the quality of drinking water in Europe follows. The third section deals with methods of treatment of groundwater and surface water. The next section describes the various methods of disinfection of drinking water. The last section deals with the ways of water treatment and water supply for inhabitants of Krosno Odrzanskie. Lastly, review of treatment methods and recommended actions for water protection and treatment is included.
