Abstract

This thesis investigates the possibilities of assessing the effects of a confined gas explosion on constructions through the program Scia Engineer. It is divided into three main sections. The theoretical section concerns the issue of explosions, with the focus on ventilated explosions. The practical section includes computations and modeling of two constructions, with the computation of pressures emerging from confined gas explosions, as well as their modeling in the computer program both included. In the conclusion, the repercussions of the confined gas explosion on the structure gained from the computer program are assessed.
