Abstract
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to show the process of deciding on organizational changes in a company and possible repercussions of its expansion, exemplified by a company in Ostrava, which is planning acquisition. The process of deciding on different variants of the acquisition is enabled by such multiple-criteria methods of decision analysis as the scoring method, the Saaty method and the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) based on it. The theoretical premises of the thesis are devoted to the theory of organization, a brief description of the most common types of organizational structure, effective leading of a change in a company and its acceptance by the personnel, and to the presentation of the multiple-criteria methods of decision analysis: the ranking, scoring, Fuller, Saaty method and the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). The third chapter of the thesis is devoted to the presentation and description of the current state and organizational structure of the company planning to expand. The fourth and last chapter contains the analysis of the present and of 7 alternative organizational structures of the company after the acquisition, including their comparison and assessment by the scoring, Saaty and AHP methods. The results of the assessment, their analysis, a proposal of the most advantageous alternative and the conditions of its implementation make the final part of the chapter.
