Abstract

This diploma thesis discusses the quarry in Jakubčovice nad Odrou and its influence on the surrounding environment. The work consists of two parts, a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part includes the Quarry chapter, where its complete description is included. It contains subchapters describing its location, the history of the quarry, a brief description of the mining, and a division of the products obtained from the quarry operations. The Legislation chapter covers the entire legislative framework including laws, decrees and regulations relating to the operation of the quarry. The following chapter, Environmental impact of the quarry, provides a complete overview of the quarry's impact on the different environmental components, and the chapter The future of mining in the quarry deals with the continuation of mining in the coming years and its subsequent technical and biological reclamation. The practical part consists of the chapter Dust exposure measurement, in which the measurement of dust fallout at six locations in the vicinity of the Jakubčovice quarry. The conclusion is devoted to the evaluation of the findings according to this diploma thesis.
