Jiříkov - Pradědova galerie

Abstract

In this bachelor essay I elaborate Praděd´s gallery, which was establish in 2005. It is both outside and inside gallery, where more than 200 sculptures made from wood are shown. These sculptures were made by woodcarver Jiří Holouzka. Praděd´s gallery is situated in foothills of Jeseníky specifically in Jiříkov. That is the reason why the first chapter focuses on this area, both from angle of geological and historical development and also from angle of tourism. The chapter of Praděd´s gallery is split into several smaller chapters according to various projects of Mr. Halouzky. The most important part is about the future plans of this gallery, where there are information about what is going to happen with it. The conclusion of this work proves that our region is rich in geological and historical landmarks.
