Abstract
This thesis deals with selected economic and legal aspects of maritime freight transport.
The aim of this thesis is to analyze selected economic and legal connections of maritime freight transport.
The theoretical part deals with theoretical aspects of chosen topic, such as the importance of sea freight transport, entities of the ocean freight market, the types of maritime freight transport etc.
In the practical part of this thesis, there are carriers and shipping alliances according to TEU capacity and number of ships compared as well as the prices and shipping times of selected carriers, conditions of carriage stated in the bill of lading using a fictional example of carriage are researched, too.
The conclusion summarizes the key findings of the given topic and possibilities for extending the research on selected topic are recommended.
