Abstract

This diploma thesis deals about coal dumps, which arose as a reflection of underground coal mining. Attention is paid of thermally active dump Ema in city Silesian Ostrava. The subject of this thesis was the annual monitoring of SO2 to thermally active Ostrava Ema waste dump in the period January 2016 - January 2017, the concentration of SO2 was selected two manual methods of volumetric analysis using a different indicator. SO2 concentration was determined Thorin indicator according to European standard EN 14791 Stationary source emissions - Determination of sulphur dioxide - Reference method and indicator methylsulfonazo III according to CSN 83 4711-5 Measurement of emissions of sulphur dioxide, sulphur trioxide, sulphuric acid and total sulphur oxides from air pollution sources. Determination of total sulphur dioxide and sulphuric acid and sulphur dioxide. Using methods and methods for Thorin indicator methylsulfonazo III was achieved very similar results. The detected concentrations of SO2 on indicator Thorin ranged in the interval from 0.64 to 29.50 mg m-3 and III indicator methylsulfonazo range 0.58- 27.36 mg m-3, with the lowest concentration of SO2 were measured in months August and the highest concentration of SO2 in January 2016
