Abstract
The object of this bachelor thesis is the production of steel in electric induction furnace (EIF). The first part focuses on the history of induction furnaces, melting units and their technological processes. The following chapters describe the processing and production in crucible electric induction furnace , and modes of production of high-alloy austenitic steels, the history of the company VUHŽ and production of steel in electric induction furnaces in the world. The last chapter focuses on the EIF ITEP 1 in VUHŽ, its properties, production technology and the proposed change technology desoxidation in VUHŽ.
