Abstract

The theme of the thesis is process management, its development and improvement. The theoretical part explains the beginning and development and basic concepts of process management. The practical part, based on the executed analysis of activities within the company, Strojírny Třinec, a.s. and D 5, akciová společnost, Třinec, drafts newly developed procedures of the Strojírny a Stavby Třinec, a.s. company, which will come into effect as of September 1st, 2013 due to a merger of the above-mentioned companies. The designated owners and administrators have been assigned to these procedures as new business units have been created, as well as the process-oriented organizational structure has been designed, whereas the importance of people and their knowledge and skills has been emphasised, as they become the key factor in the process management.
