Abstract

The aim of the thesis is to analyze process of employee education and development and to propose recommendations in this area in Olomouc Remand Prison. Based on the theoretical background of employee education and development are explained generally used steps and procedures, methods of education, the general process of defining the goals of education, planning, implementation and evaluation of education. The practical part of the thesis is focused on characterization of the Olomouc Remand Prison, analysis and description of current state of employee education and development and the results of questionnaire survey performed among the employees of the organization. On the basis of information received from internal organization documents, interview with the human resources officer and results of questionnaire survey are designed possible recommendation for improvement of employee education and development system. The proposed recommendations are to open language courses and computer courses for all employees, hiring more quality internal and external lectors, implement a system of evaluation training and development activities and testing the knowledge of employees before the start of the training.
