Abstract

This thesis deals with the influence of microorganism Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans on the flotation of black coal sample, originally from KWK Marcel in Poland. The theoretical part describes the use of different kinds of microorganisms in bioflotation, the whole theory of flotation and characteristics of bacteria used in bioflotation tests. The aim of the experiments was to assess which effect has bacteria Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans on the ash and sulfur content in the black coal sample after different exposure times in the flotation pulp.
