Abstract
The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the competitiveness of a food company. The aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the competitiveness of the selected company and then to propose recommendations that should lead to an increase in its competitiveness. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part contains basic concepts related to the competitiveness of the company and the characteristics of selected methods. The practical part introduces the selected company and the industry in which the company operates, consequently on the selected company is applied individual methods of competitiveness assessment. These methods include Porter's five forces analysis, PEST analysis, financial analysis, Spider analysis and SWOT analysis. The last chapter of the diploma thesis contains a summary of all performed analysis, on the basis of which recommendations are defined, which should lead to an increase in the competitiveness of the company.
