Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis addresses the design of alternative lightning systems for a chapel building in the village Kyjovice. The aim of the thesis was to propose a solution that meets both qualitative and quantitative requirements for architectural lighting, as well as the requirements for the limitation of obtrusive light. The theoretical part outlines the principles of architectural lighting, the requirements related to obtrusive light, and the possibilities of using available luminaires. The practical part focuses on the creation of 3D model of the chapel and the development of several lighting design alternatives using BuildingDesign software, followed by their comparison and evaluation. The outcome of the thesis is an assessment of the proposed designs and a recommendation of the optimal solution.
