Abstract
The subject of the bachelor´s thesis is a study of bio-inspired optimization methods and applications of bio-inspired algorithms in industrial environment. The result of this work is creation of an overview of bio-inspired algorithms, including their taxonomy, and description of their progress. The introductory chapter deals with the explanation of terms and an overview of biological algorithms. The following chapter is about Evolutionary algorithms, and it describes individual algorithms, their history and compares the advantages and disadvantages of these algorithms. In the next chapter, you can find an explanation and nature of the Swarm intelligence algorithms. This is the largest group of biological algorithms, based on a common social behaviour of organisms. The third chapter examines the Ecological algorithms, whose inspiration was based on living organisms and the abiotic environment. A separate chapter is devoted to examples of the use of these methods in some sectors of industrial production.
