Abstract

The model analysis of the interaction of the geological environment with circular reinforcement of the underground work, depending on the reinforcement stiffness, is the subject of this work. The lining of the underground work is to be of reinforced concrete material. However this heterogeneous reinforcement is not able to be defined in program Plaxis, hence stiffness gotten from program HOMO, in which the heterogenic cross-section deformational material characteristics were homogenized, is the input data. The reinforced concrete lining is typical of its growing stiffness caused by shotcrete hardening. Five underground works in total, each of them with higher stiffness were modeled in program Plaxis. Observation areas were courses of parameters of the settlement basin on the surface described by the inflective point distance and the settlement on the surface, further total displacements of the reinforcement; internal forces of the reinforcement, from which axial forces and bending moments were used to deduce stresses on edges of the cross-section, always for the ceiling, the side and the bottom of the circular work. Where extreme stress occurred, there the course of the stress along height of the heterogeneous reinforced concrete cross section was ascertained with help of program HOMO. This all, with respect of two side pressures up to Terzaghi´s and Jaky´s formulation.
