Databáze brownfieldů ve městě Ostrava

Abstract

My diploma thesis deals with the registration of brownfields within the city limits of the city of Ostrava. With regard to the huge number of brownfields which can be found in Ostrava, my thesis focuses on the registration of selected brownfields into a database which is freely accessible on the website of the COBRAMAN project. The first, research part, of the thesis examines the term brownfield, the typology of brownfields, the COBRAMAN project and the databases in which Ostrava’s brownfields can be found. The practical part of the thesis then focuses on summarising all available information about the selected brownfields and subsequently on transferring this information into the COBRAMAN project database. 23 localities were selected, repeatedly visited and described within this practical part of my work. Cards with information on a brownfield were created for all of the selected localities. Photographic documentation was also acquired for all of the localities and their locations were marked out in the relevant sections of the cadastral map. Part of the diploma thesis was the creation of an interactive map. It shows all of the visited localities, their photographs and their brief description. This map may serve as instruction material for future students in the program of the EUROPEAN SCHOOL FOR TECHNICAL BROWNFIELDS REDEVELOPMENT.
