Vyhodnocení hydraulické účinnosti vodovodní sítě města Jablonce nad Nisou ve vztahu k potřebám zásobování požární vodou

Abstract

This document assesses hydraulic efficiency, operational possibilities and risks of water-supply network of the town Jablonec nad Nisou in relation to the needs of fire water supply. Diploma thesis concurs on previous Bachelor thesis by the same author from 2008, which focused on analysis of external sources of fire water in the entire region of Jablonec nad Nisou. All sources of fire water in the town, including hydrants connected to the water-supply network, are mapped in detail and evaluated in relationship to operational needs of fire department in case of extinguishing potential fires, and all this in relationship to available infrastructure. This document evaluates mutual interaction between standard water take-offs for ordinary consumers and potential spasmodic water take-offs for fire cases from the possible risks’ point of view. Based on the results of this analysis, there are selected places where to place more hydrants, eventually places with priority relative to the plan of water-supply network reconstruction. Information contained in the Diploma thesis might be useful data for a following decision-making in the area of water supply provision of the whole town, say drinking water for inhabitants as well as fire water for extinguishing fires.
