Využití Peltierových termočlánků jako alternativního zdroje energie

Abstract

This bachelor´s thesis deals with the possibilities of heat recovery through Thermoelectric Peltier cells - thermobattery TEG. In standard thermal and nuclear power Plants is the efficiency of converting heat energy into electricity around 30-40%. Rest of the heat energy can be used for heating but the nuclear power plants which are build far away from larger cities exhale this waste heat into atmosphere through cooling towers. This waste heat is low potential, so it can not be used to powering other mechanical engines. Recently, a new possibility to use this low potential heat occured, using a Peltier thermobatreries TEG which convert heat directly into electricity. This thesis analyses the history of development and electrical characteristics of such thermobatteries. There are detailed measurements of electrical characteristics of specific thermobatteries. Subsequently, theoretical calculations of returns and the possibilities of real use of low potential wast heat today are processed.
