Malware Analysis from the Behavioral Point of View

Abstract

The aim of the work is focused on collection of representative set of malware descriptions according to families determined by the supervisor in the widest possible range. In the beginning of this work is introduction about current state in the field of data processing and analysis. Next part of this work contains defining suitable data sources and selecting samples whose behaviour is to be analyzed, data collection, preliminary analysis visualization of that data. Also described methods for analysis and identification of viral sequences and their families. In last part of this work is described experiment performed in this work and its results.

Cíl práce je zaměřen na sběr reprezentativní sady popisů malwaru podle rodin určených vedoucím v nejširším možném rozsahu. Na začátku této práce je představení současného stavu v oblasti zpracování a analýzy dat. Další část této práce obsahuje definování vhodných zdrojů dat a výběr vzorků, jejichž chování se má analyzovat, sběr dat, vizualizace předběžných analýz těchto dat. Popsány jsou také metody pro analýzu a identifikaci virových sekvencí a jejich rodin. V poslední části této práce je popsán experiment provedený v této práci a jeho výsledky.
