dc.description.abstract-enAn investigation of the influence of aluminium on the content of oxide and sulphide inclusions and the overall contamination of unstabilised stainless steels of the Kh18N10 type is described. It was found that the morphology, chemical composition, and cross-sectional area of inclusions in steels containing about 0.25%Mn are considerably influenced by steel aluminium content. The cleanest steels were obtained with steel aluminium contents of 0.018-0.037%.en
