Abstract

The present work deals with the changes in the microstructure of pure aluminium and copper which were prepared by equal channel angular pressing (ECAP). The resulting microstructure of aluminium and copper is compared with the original, untreated microstructure. The ECAP method that is described in this work is a very important SPD method by means which it is possible to obtain an ultra-fine grain structure for metallic materials. Furthermore, work describes every effects during ECAP process and some of its modifications.
