Abstract

The bachelor thesis provides a comprehensive view of NATO and EU cooperation within the global security environment. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyze the situation in the area of world security with the emphasis on EU security and defence policy, evaluating the mutual cooperation between the EU and NATO, which contributes to achieving overall international security.

The first chapter focuses on the emergence of NATO and its subsequent development to the present. The second chapter describes the integration of the member countries of the European Communities in the field of foreign – political relations, which was crucial for the emergence of II. The pillars of the EU and its security forces – Common Security and Defence Policy. The third chapter presents a practical analysis of NATO – EU mutual relations in the context of current security threats, which are characterized by military operations.
