Abstract

PAULEROVÁ, V. Pavilion of Polar Bears and Walruses: Bachelor Thesis. Ostrava: VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Architecture, 2019. Thesis supervisor Krčmář, I. The subject of the bachelor thesis is a processing of project documentation for the construction of the Pavilion for Polar Bears and Walruses, which is designed for the Zoological Garden Ostrava. The bachelor thesis is based on the elaborated project in subjects Architecture Design Studio III. (urban design), Architecture Design Studio IV. (architectural design of the building) led by Ing. arch. Igor Krčmář and Architecture Design Studio V. (building permit documentation) led by Ing. Eva Machovčáková, Ph.D. It is a two-story building with a separate section for visitors, staff, and animals. The building will serve for breeding animals, recreation and education of visitors. The thesis is divided into a text part and a drawing part. The text part contains current status, architectural design, accompanying report and summary technical report according to Decree 499/2006 Coll. about building documentation in the scope given by the supervisor. The drawing part is included in the appendix and is accompanied by specialization - architectural detail. Only the new building of the pavilion (SO 01) is processed. Access routes, fencing (SO 02) and deep foundations (SO 03) are not the content of this bachelor thesis.
