Abstract

Consequences of mining coal, the effect of the chemical industry, power plants and other industrial sectors are a load for the environment under the Ore Mountains. For decades the landscape, air and water were devastated in this region. The thesis presents the evolution of industrial companies which are among the largest polluters in the area under the Ore Mountains of their historical origin to the present time, their contribution to the restoration of the landscape and improvement of the quality of air and water. It will be necessary to take advantage of these projects in the future so that the investment will take profit. The realized projects must be attractive for the development of tourism to be able to attract to our region not only tourists but also investors from the tourism and related services.
