Pohornická krajina Karvinska a její význam pro ochranu přírody a krajiny

Abstract

The presented bachelor thesis deals with the post-mining landscape of Karviná region from the point of view of nature and landscape protection. The main objectives of the thesis can be seen in two levels, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, there are presented the legislative instruments in nature and landscape protection, which are based on the legislation of the Czech Republic. Then there are also presented selected elements of post-mining landscape of the Czech Republic. The following are the characteristics of the post-mining landscape of Karviná region, including typical landscape elements and the role it plays in nature and landscape protection. In the practical part of the bachelor thesis is from different perspectives presented the model site, which could play an important role in the protection of nature and landscape of the post-mining landscape of Karviná region, and whose creation was conditioned by mining. The model site is the subsidence lake Kozinec which is located in the cadastre of the Doubrava. An orientation faunistic and floristic survey of the model site, including a habitat survey, was carried out as part of this bachelor thesis. The phase of naturalisation of this site will depend, among other things, on the manner and intensity of its use after the technical and biological phase of recultivation is completed, but it can already be stated that habitats of anthropogenic origin (in this case, subsidence lakes) have significant potential for nature and landscape conservation in the landscape of Karviná region.
