Abstract

The bachelor’s thesis is focused on a company’s financial health. The aim is to evaluate a company’s financial health using financial analysis as a primary tool. A significant part of the thesis is devoted to a financial analysis with an emphasis on a variety of selected methods of financial analysis. These methods include horizontal and vertical analysis, analysis of differential indicators, ratio analysis and analysis of systems of indicators. Subsequently, the methods of financial analysis are applied to an actual company and the results are evaluated. A lot of financial problems were discovered using the financial analysis, especially in the area of liquidity and indebtedness. The final part is dedicated to suggestions which could improve the company’s financial health. The most important suggestions include increasing equity, outsourcing of services, restructualization of inventory management, analysis of rentability of offered goods and services and lowering costs.
