Vývoj německé ekonomiky v souvislosti se sjednocením v 90. letech 20. století

Abstract

The goal of the thesis is to evaluate the impact of German unification on its position in Europe in the 90’s of the 20th century. The processing method is objectively – deductive with using the historical method. The first part is dedicated to economic development in Germany before unification. In this chapter is described the development of economic thoughts and political events before unification. The second part is dedicated to the descriptive analysis of the development of the German economy in the 90’s of the 20th century. This chapter describes the transformation shocks, Maastricht fiscal criteria, GDP growth, labor market development and financial transfers to eastern Germany. The last part describes the impact of unification on the performance of the German economy. This part is dedicated to the exchange rates and inflation policy of the Deutsche Bundesbank. Next part of this chapter describes indicators of competitiveness and foreign direct investments.
