Abstract
The aim of the bachelor thesis "The Assessment of Liquidity and Capital Adequacy of Selected Banks in the Czech Republic" is to analyse the liquidity and capital adequacy in the selected banks. The thesis is divided into three parts, in which in the first part there is a definition of liquidity, relation of liquidity to other bank risks and description of methods for measuring and managing the bank's liquidity. The second part is devoted to capital adequacy, predominantly the development of capital adequacy rules which are known as Basel, thereafter capital needed for the calculation of capital adequacy is defined and capital requirements are outlined. In the third part three banks were selected, where liquidity and capital adequacy were inspected and compared each other. Calculated indicators were moreover compared with the average numbers in the Czech bank sector.
