Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the study of physical properties of BMC Mensolite 3100 composite material which was developed especially for use in automotive industry for the front headlamps’ reflectors production depending on its thermal degradation. The basic physico-mechanical properties were measured, such as impact strength and hardness, as well as special material properties such as glass transition temperature or coefficient of thermal expansion. The practical part of this thesis focuses on the comparison of all measured properties without temperature exposure and consequently with different temperature loads. The obtained results are entered into tables and the measured dependencies are presented in graphic form for better comparison of the observed properties.
