Analýza dlouhodobé nezaměstnanosti a úrovně vzdělanosti v České republice

Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the relationship between long-term unemployment and the educational structure of the population in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to analyze regional differences in long-term unemployment rates and to determine the extent to which the level of education affects individuals’ employability. The theoretical part defines key concepts related to the labor market and regional development. The practical part is based on statistical data from the Regional Information System and applies descriptive analysis of main indicators, correlation analysis, and cluster analysis to classify municipalities with extended powers according to education and unemployment indicators. The results confirm that regions with a higher proportion of inhabitants with only primary education show a higher rate of long-term unemployment, while regions with a greater share of university-educated inhabitants are less affected. The thesis also identifies structurally disadvantaged regions and proposes recommendations for targeted employment policy support.
