Abstract
The first chapter deals with the legislative conditions for the use of waste as an energy source. This section defines the legal standards that are important in the field of energy recovery. The third chapter deals with the comparison of the issue of energy recovery of waste in the Czech Republic and the EU. Technological preparation of waste for energy use in the Czech Republic is the penultimate chapter of the work. This section evaluates individual devices that are used to extract energy from waste. In conclusion, it is evaluated whether the objectives set in the introduction to the bachelor thesis were fulfilled.
