Abstract

Aim of the bachelor thesis is: vakuum circuit breakers – market research. The theoretical part is first focused on the circuit breaker in general: what is a circuit breaker, principal function, circuit breaker parts and its division according to the principle of function. Next chapter is directly aimed on the vacuum circuit breaker, and how is different shutting down in the vakuum, from the common shutting down in the gaseous environment. Another part of the vacuum circuit breakers is focused on functional classification of the interrupter and description of its main functional parts, such as: contacts, insulating envelope, shield and bellows. Finally, a comparison is made of vacuum circuit breakers from three the largest companies according to pre-established requirements, where at each vacuum circuit breaker of the relevant company is made a brief description of the basic and expanding equipment and the layout of the vacuum circuit breaker.
