Abstract

The work deals with production of electricity by fuel cell, principles, construction and the issue of fuel cell operation. The first chapter is devoted to types of non-traditional sources of electric power. In the following part is analyzed production of electricity by fuel cell, efficiency of energy conversion and distribution of fuel cells according to some criteria. The third chapter is focused on applications of fuel cells. Subsequently is analyzed application of fuel cells in the energy industry. The penultimate describes fuels used in fuel cells and the issue of their use. The last part of this bachelor thesis is devoted to the operation issues of fuel cells with polymer ion-exchange membrane.
