Abstract

This bachelor thesis examines the basic requirements for lighting systems and technical lightning parameters all luminaries used in street lighting. It also deals with the basic requirements for illumination of roads according to the law requirements and technical standards. In the next part of this work, there is analysis of vision in crepuscular area, analysis of the eye, reactions and attributes of the eye in a certain day or artificial light conditions, and further the explanations of Purkyne phenomenon, visual adaptation and associated driver reaction time. In the practical part, there is the proposal for the improvement of public lighting at Dvorak street, where was used the LED lightning system. The practical part contains a comparison of the current state of lightning to the previous state, which is documented by own practical measurements. Then there is a procedure for classifying road lightning to lighting classes and a proposal to adjust lighting situation so as to meet the requirements of technical standards.
