The aim of this master thesis is to create the programs for control of a laboratory model of metal – rolling mills using PLC. The theoretical part focuses on the information about rolling and their process in the control and the central computers, the programmable logical automate and the inductive sensors. The practical part on the created programs for the operation of metal – rolling mills using PLC, especially in the sequential function chart, the function block diagram and the ladder diagram. It evaluates their functionality and complexity.
