Abstract

The majority of trading companies on the market are having issues with receivables, which represent especially outstanding invoices from their customers. Companies aim to optimize their management system, which main goal is to prevent creation of problematic receivables. The theoretical part characterises the concept of receivables and their valuation, management system, prevention of problematic claims, selected hedging instruments and their enforcement. The practical part is focused on introducing the company and computation of time and rate of turnover. The next section contains an analysis of receivables in individual economic years 2010 – 2014. Based on the collected data company's existing claim management system is assessed and subsequently updated internal directive of relationships with borrowers.
