Abstract
This master thesis on the topic "e-Participation in Public Administration" is focused on the evaluation of the e-Participation services and instruments of a chosen local administration and it proposes improvements concerning the citizens’ participation in the decision making of the local administration. As part of the thesis, two hypotheses, H1 and H2 will be verified. H1-Administrative units with larger area have better level of e-Participation. H2-Administrative units with higher number of citizen have better level of e-Participation. The thesis is divided into 5 chapters, where the first chapter is an introduction and the last chapter is a conclusion. The second and the third chapter focus on the theoretical part, including the meaning of the terms related to public administration, its reformation and its approach to citizens. It covers the creation of the evaluation criteria, definition of local administration and description of its current e-Participation level. The fourth chapter describes the practical part. It contains the evaluation of the e-Participation level in the selected local administration by focusing on the provided services, verification of the validity of the given hypotheses and a proposal for improvement of the involvement of citizens in the decision making of the local administration.
