Abstract

The primary aim of the thesis is the appreciation of the economic and financial condition on the company PÓROBETON Ostrava, a.s. Assessment of economic and financial situation will be made on the basis of selected methods of financial analysis, which will be described in more detail in subsequent chapters. It will also be made inter-company comparisons with direct competitors and finally assess the vitality of the company by H. Pollak’s method. At the first is mentioned basic characteristic of the company, brief history and general specifications. Chosen analytic tools are practically applied on the basis of financial statements of the company. The calculated results are summarized and in some occasions there are feasible recommendations for economic improvement in the company.
