Abstract

This student thesis was engaged in wooden footbridges, especially in their supporting system. In its first part a brief historical overview of wooden bridges and footbridges was drawn up which was followed by a background research of structural concept of the footbridges. Then there were drawn three different options of wooden bridges constructions over the stream of 30 m range. With the first two options there was a project elaborated as well as the assessment of the conclusive supporting elements of the ultimate and serviceability limit state. For the third, the optimal option, there was given an elaboration of a preliminary project as well as the assessment of the supporting elements and joining constructions including the reinforcement of the ultimate and serviceability limit state. Frequency of the construction was also attested. Assessment was done based on the current codes ČSN EN. Drawing documentation and proposition of the methods of the bridge`s assembly are included in this thesis.
