Abstract
Main topic of this bachelor’s thesis is description and analysis of practical observations of the Internet use by a real small enterprise in the context of the modern information and communication technology possibilities. The thesis defines activities of the enterprise that are performed on the Internet and follows with analysis of these activities. The current state of the enterprise is evaluated with the aid of chosen economic indicators. Using revenue and net profit, the return on sales indicator is calculated and the results are compared with available values. The subject of the research is also the development of sales and work efficiency of its employees. For the purpose of a comparison of the activities that the enterprise performs on the Internet, the survey of the Czech Statistical Office of January 2016 depicting the Internet use in the Czech business environment is presented. Business activities of the enterprise are described and analysed in each separate subchapter. Suggestions of the possible improvements are drawn in the conclusion of the thesis that focuses on use of the on-line marketing, advertisement and social media that are becoming more and more popular for the presentation of enterprises. The benefit of this work is to summarize the possibilities of the Internet use by enterprises to increase the efficiency of common activities such as procurement, sales, invoicing, communication with the state administration, etc., including possibilities of the on-line marketing and promotion.
