Abstract

The diploma thesis presents an architectonic concept of an intensive type of a build-up area in Praha 6 – Sedlec. The present design is set in the current arrangement of the locality. Developing the important local landscape, historic, morphological and residential elements, it attempts to give the area a simple and well-arranged structure. The aim was to conform the new design to the landscape. The concept has three main focal points, which are located by the manor house, brick kiln, and by the newly designed tram stop. Only Herget’s brick kiln will be kept. The locality is designed as a natural residential area with low-floor compact and residential buildings with amenities. The aim of the design is to connect the newly designed north and south parts of Sedlec with the current build-up area.
