Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to describe methods for assessment of the mechanical properties and methods of investigations on microstructural stability of modified heat resistant martensitic 9-12% Cr steels, which are applied in advanced thermal power plants. Applications of these steels make it possible to increase both temperature and pressure of steam, which results in an improvement of thermal efficiency of these power plants.
In the experimental part of the thesis, an evaluation of degradation of basic mechanical properties and microstructure of a 9Cr1.5Mo1CoVNbB steel after laboratory annealing at 625°C for 3 000 and 10 000hours is carried out.
