Abstract

This thesis focuses on assessing the possibility of using a new type TOF mass analyzer in conjunction with gas chromatography for the determination of organic substances in water. In the case of the determination of PCB, the work is focused on the comparison of the parameters of the analytical methods, that exploit standard MS quadrupol analyzer and TOF flight analyzer. The thesis is focused on the possibility of using gas chromatography and TOF analyzer for the determination of substances that are currently not subject to regular monitoring on the basis of legislation and that are usually determined by other analytical techniques.
