Abstract
Monitoring vital signs, in other word: sensing the biological signals from patient, plays the major role in diagnostics and also in therapy. Biosignal-measuring devices are necessary to test heart, brain, nerves and other organs proper functioning. The most important biosignals sensed in the diagnostics are bioelectric signals. Usually it is sensing of the heart activity, namely ECG signal. The correct interpretation of the ECG is crucial for the detection of heart disease or congenital defects, so it is very important to modify sensed signal in the best way so that diagnostic value will be saved. An important part of every device that senses biomedical signals is part of the preamplifier, which adjusts sensed signals for digital processing and display. This preamplifier provides the necessary filtration of sensed signal, so that the diagnostic value of signal is saved. Interference, which is reflected in the signal, is eliminated, and it doesn’t matter whether the interference is technological or biological in origin.
