Abstract

The bachelor thesis focuses on education and development of employees at the Municipal Office in Valašské Meziříčí. The main aim of the thesis is to assess the current state of education and development and subsequently provide proposals and recommendations for the organization. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first theoretical part defines education and development, describes systematic education, and outlines Act No. 312/2002 Coll., on officials of self-governing units. At the end of the theoretical part, methods of education are presented. The second part is practical, starting with the third chapter. It introduces the municipal office and its current education and development of employees. The following chapter analyzes the current state of education and development, utilizing a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative method is conducted through a questionnaire survey, presenting results in the form of graphs. Quantitative analysis is based on interviews with two employees. At the end of the thesis, the results of the survey from the previous chapter are interpreted. Subsequently, proposals and recommendations for improving educational programs for officials, arising from the analysis, are presented.
