Regenerace panelového sídliště Vršovců, Ostrava-Mariánské Hory

Abstract

The topic of this paper is study of regeneration of the prefabricated housing estate in Ostrava’s boroughs - Mariánské Hory and Hulváky. Based on analysis of the current state of the above mentioned boroughs was prepared proposal of utilization of this area including solution of traffic, static traffic, engineering network, outdoor furnishings and greenery. The proposal itself is prepared as requested in one variation, which is compiled in detail. When creating the proposal, needs of the residents of the housing estate and the boroughs were taken into account. The proposal is prepared according to valid territorial statuary city of Ostrava from 1994. When creating this urban proposal of the housing estate, the only limiting factor was the arrangement of the engineering networks, especially the pipeline location in the northeastern part of the housing estate. Throughout the housing estate run other engineering networks as well, which are preventing bigger landscaping, yet they didn’t effect the proposal itself. The biggest affect on the urban proposal was caused by the lack of the parking spaces. The housing estate doesn’t have enough space for standard parking spaces located on the surface, thus to achieve the requirement for the capacity of the parking spaces, it was necessary to place “parking platforms” to the hillside of the housing estate which will help to cover the capacity of the parking spaces.
